SOCIETY OF CARBON DIOXIDE RESEARCH AND INNOVATION 
(for CO2India Network)

We are pleased to inform you that the CO₂India Network, which was launched on 15 July 2021 to connect researchers working on CO₂, CCUS and climate-related technologies across India, has now been formally registered as a national scientific society under the name: Society of Carbon Dioxide Research and Innovation.

Over the past nearly five years, CO₂India has grown into a vibrant national platform with participation from more than 1,000 faculty members, scientists, postdoctoral researchers, students and industry professionals. This formal registration marks an important step towards building a structured, inclusive and long-term national ecosystem for collaboration, innovation and translation in CO₂ and climate research. We invite faculty members, scientists, postdoctoral researchers and students working in the areas of CO₂ and CCUS, catalysis, energy, environment, advanced materials, climate science and allied fields to join the Society and actively contribute to India’s efforts in climate change mitigation and energy security.

Member-only access and exclusive benefits (from now onwards):

All future CO₂India activities and opportunities will be available exclusively to registered members of the Society of Carbon Dioxide Research and Innovation. Membership will provide access to:

• Eligibility for CO₂India Best PhD Thesis Awards and other upcoming national recognitions.

• Priority access to CO₂India webinars, short courses and advanced training programmes delivered by leading experts from academia and industry.

• Participation in the CO₂India Annual Meeting and other flagship national events of the Society.

• Special registration benefits and priority access to CO₂India conferences, workshops and partner events in India and abroad.

• Opportunities for national-level networking, mentoring and collaboration with leading researchers, industry partners and policy stakeholders in the CCUS and climate domain.

In addition, several new member-exclusive programmes, including structured learning initiatives, thematic working groups, industry–academia interaction platforms and collaborative research and translation activities, are currently in the pipeline and will be announced only to registered Society members.

Important note: All existing CO₂India Network members are requested to re-register under the newly formed Society. Previous network memberships will be continued only after registration with the Society.
